Silver Penciled Cochin Bantams question

Are Silver Penciled Cochin Bantams sex linked? I ordered a bantam assortment and now they are four weeks old. The chicks that I think are Silver Penciled looked the same only two had "dark heads" and two had "light heads.

They are now feathering out the exact same colors and patterns only the darks seem to be girls and the lights seem to be boys.

I know the thread died on you but I'd be interested in finding out as well. From what I can tell the breed is not very common but I'll post a pic of mine that I just recently found out about. She was in a mixed assortment of bantams and one of the other members on the site was able to tell me what she was. Here's Shelby:



I'm guessing she would be classified in your "dark" variety and I am hoping that those ones turned out to be girls!
