I'm pretty much a newbie to BYC, however, my father and I have been keeping chickens for quite a while. We had been sticking to just RIRs and BRs, but this year we branched out and now have a few other breeds (EEs, Mille Fleur d'Uucle, and Silver Sebrights). Which brings me to my question...

We purchased this pair from an individual that we know, however, I do not think that he is a SS.. Anyone have any input?

All of the SSs that I have seen do not have these green feathers. He also seems kind of .. large? Any ideas..?

Looks like a Silver Laced Wyandotte bantam.

SL Wyandotte:
(largefowl, I couldn't find a good example of a bantam right now)

I agree it is a SLW, but poor coloring based on the standard. I would guess he's from a hatchery.

You are right, he's much to big to be a seabright. He's silver laced for sure. Ive never owned a wyandotte, so I'm not committing

Well.. That's disappointing considering that I was wanting to get Sebrights, but I think that they are both quite stunning. If anyone knows someone who will ship me some Sebright chicks/eggs, let me know!

Thank you for all of your help, guys!
