Our mystery rooster seems to match the description of MM silver spangles hamburg; We call him "whitey" because he was the only mostly whitish chick.

Whitey is from a breed that is supposed to produce med white eggs and loads of them.

Who should I cross him with to get some large white eggs in the carton?? My choices are:

RIR
Blk Austrulorp
blk star
speckled sussex
BO
EE
SLW

Maybe I should consider slowing him down a little too--he zipps around at the speed of light. Like a road runner he is! LOL

Any experienced breeders want to take a crack at this Q??

I don't know the genetics of egg color, but I would think those would all result in brown eggs. Except the EE witch would be tinted. Like I said I don't know just a guess.

Timmy,

Thanks! I think you could be right. Because one parent lays brown eggs, it's a 50 % chance for brown eggs. Except for the EE: blue, white or pinkish. Thanks for contributing.
