This is apparently the mama henHuh. Odd. She’s mottled, which is a gene I wasn’t aware isbars had. Can you ask the person you got her from if they have any mottled birds?

I have no idea , this is my first time with this type of chicken, and after doing a bit of looking up I only found one other possible example of a molted IsbarAnd she’s definitely an isbar?
I saw somewhere that said the molted coloration is an undesirable gene that most people try to cull and breed out of a populationWell, if she lays blue/green eggs then she’s an isbar, though one with the incorrect coloring. If she lays brown/white, then she’s a different breed.
Could be. Though it’s odd that she was sold as an ameraucana, where did you get her?Curious if this little girl I picked up is all or part Isbar. She was sold as ameracauna but, she was so pretty I couldn't resist.
At a feed store in Camarillo, CA. Local ag kids sell coop ready pullets. I found this thread and it looks SO MUCH like her. She has the little ear poofs that are small and round and I see a lighter spot near her ear. Not sure if her comb will go red or not. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/olive-egger-isbar-x-bcm.1069564/Could be. Though it’s odd that she was sold as an ameraucana, where did you get her?
Huh. Well, so far I’m thinking that she’s an isbar cross. At a feed store in Camarillo, CA. Local ag kids sell coop ready pullets. I found this thread and it looks SO MUCH like her.
