Hey y’all I’m trying to figure out if this young pullet is a Isbar , she has a coloration I don’t see under recognized colors for this breed?

Huh. Odd. She’s mottled, which is a gene I wasn’t aware isbars had. Can you ask the person you got her from if they have any mottled birds?I see what you mean , but there’s a problem with that , she supposedly hatched from these colored eggs
Well, if she lays blue/green eggs then she’s an isbar, though one with the incorrect coloring. If she lays brown/white, then she’s a different breed.I have no idea , this is my first time with this type of chicken, and after doing a bit of looking up I only found one other possible example of a molted Isbar
Yes, mottling seems to be undesirable in isbars.I saw somewhere that said the molted coloration is an undesirable gene that most people try to cull and breed out of a population
Yes. Though keep in mind that if she ends up laying white/brown eggs, then she could be a different cross all together.I agree...which is so odd right?
I see what you mean , but there’s a problem with that , she supposedly hatched from these colored eggsLooks more like an Ancona.
