Simple Pleasures!

For a few days now I have been thinking about the simple pleasures I find in my life that are priceless so I was wanting to know it any of you guys would like to share any of your simple pleasures. My recent simple pleasures are 1) picking up the eggs each day 2) going shed hunting with my husband 3) getting my buck back from the taxidermist 4) making breakfast with my own eggs from my chickens 6) feeling the warmth of a cup of hot coffee on a cold day.Please share your simple pleasures.

My birds- of course!
My garden (that I am really missing right now!)
A good cup of coffee.
Anything that feels good on my feet- my Keen sandals, thick cotton socks, my hiking boots.... when my feet are happy- I'm happy

Hmmm, a good thread on a frosty Missouri morning. Always that cup of coffee in the am. How about...squinting an eye open to sunrise, then snuggling back in the comforter for another hour of zzz'z; climbing into bed at night with icy feet and slipping under our heated blanket; walking barefoot through cool dewy summer grass; gathering beautiful veggies from my garden; hanging laundry in the open air and sunshine; rubbing my GSP behind the ears, telling him sweet nothings while he wiggles and wags; hearing the garage door squeak telling me DH is home again from work... We could go on and on with this idea, surely making good vibes for the day! ~G

Seeing a Bald Eagle fly over the road on my way to work. Gets my day back on the right track!

ETA: Walking past the eggs at the grocery store. Every time.

Listening to the world wake up when I can't sleep and am sitting on my deck with a good cup of coffee. The sun's rays start peaking from the treetops, bats are retreating, birds are stirring, then the rooster crows. Life is good!

Not leaving home on the weekends.
Just working around the yard or on the house.
And watching the chickens.... It's almost the weekend.

a dog to curl up with you on the bed while you take a snooze

No work days

The sound of the wind thru the reeds on the banks of a river

a slow drift down a river or a drift with the tide while out fishing

the chatter of chickens digging for bugs and worms

Finding eggs in the henhouse

Gets me everytime

Growing your own herbs for cooking and having them most of the year.

Two small dogs sound asleep in my lap and next to me in the recliner, burrowed under my lap blanket.
A large cat draped across my left shoulder, purring.
A nice, hot cup of freshly brewed coffee.
A pint of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream ("Everything But The...." flavor) and a spoon.

Fuzzy slippers with good, non-skid soles.

My favorite night-shirt, fresh out of the dryer.

A good mystery novel.
