and don't forget the tinfoil. It will radiate heat back into the nest and help to prevent heat loss. Wishing the best for you and yours, safe travels.I am not a big fan of people babies but Id put the heatpad set up like you will in the brooder, then toss the whole thing in a big cardboard box the chicks cant get out of in case they hop out of the nest. Add extra extra water, cover the big box with a sheet to keep in the warm and moist and leave it at home!
