Hi all. I need some advise, last Friday I was at the local feed store and picked up 2 chicks. I have 9 others arriving today from my favorite hatchery. The plan was to brood them seperate until the 9 were about 1 week old and then introduce them all to eachother. However, one of the feed store chicks never grew, didn't eat well, and had a big black belly button. (Noticed this on sunday) I tried everything but she passed last night about 1am. So I'm torn, should I try to buy an older chick from the feed store to put with my lonely chick? Should I introduce her earlier to the 9 arrivals? I just don't know whats best.

Being from the feed store hard to tell, but im guessing maybe a week. Her wing feathers are poking out a bit, had none on Friday. Could be a day or 2 older. She is definitely not 2 weeks for sure.
