Hi, I have 3 Rouens. 2 drakes and one female, all about 6 months old. They run with 12 chickens in a huge fenced in area. The boys are just starting to pester the female. I've read that I should separate the boys, until I have more females and I am getting ducklings this week, but have to wait till they are older to let out (obviously). There are no adult females available for miles, so that isn't an option. My first question is, can I simply fence off a portion of the pen to keep the males in, where they can see everyone, but not be completely alone? Or, do I need to remove them to a completely different area. The only place I can put them completely away from the girl and hens would make them pretty isolated. Once my ducklings are old enough, I understand I'd have to integrate everyone. But until then, it seems like it might be better if the boys are not completely isolated from everyone.
Second question - once the ducklings are able to come outside in their run, can I put the female duck in with them? Or do I need to wait till they are big enough to integrate with everybody?

Six month old drakes in with only one female duck, and a bunch of chicken hens is a recipe for trouble with I’m assuming you know that and that’s why you’re getting the new ducklings hopefully they are sexed and all females?
You will need lots of extra fencing oh yes the drakes should not be with one female. They should not be with your chicken hens and they should not be with any of the new ducklings until Those are old enough to lay eggs.
Your one female is not going to act motherly towards them because she has never hatched any eggs but after a couple of weeks of seeing them every day through a fence they should be able to get along.
