Sinus Infection? Swelling of the Face.

Hello!
Yesterday I noticed one of my bantams had some swelling on the side of her face (her left side only). Today I believe it swelled up more. From seeing threads on here the swelling could be a sinus infection? As its in between her nostril and eye mostly.
She also seems to have a bit of a runny nose on that side, and has a couple bubbles in her eye. Other than that everything is normal and she's acting well.
I checked all my chickens and saw no symptoms. Except for another bantam with a runny nose, but it was clogged so I'm assuming that's why...? I cleaned her nostril up and so I'll see how it is tomorrow. At the end of August one of my Easter Eggers had swelling on the face and comb, after a couple days it went away so I though it was just a bug bite or something.
I'm new to bantams, and so I did get her and 4 others shipped to me at the beginning of August. I'm wondering if they possibly were carrying something...?
I do have Tylosin Powder on hand, should I give that...? I'm really hoping they don't have MG or something!

If you have Tylosin, I'd go ahead and start it.

The Wyandotte, I believe I see some bubbles in her eye too. Could be that she was able to overcome this if your birds are carriers. Newbies can sometimes contract illness from existing flocks.

Flush eyes with saline, then put a dot of Terramycin or Original Neosporin in the eyes

Also, I have 7 ducks, and 4, 13 and 15 week old chicks. Do they all need it...? I have 5 bantams and 11 in my standard flock.

The bantam did have more than one bubble at some point! She's an Old English Game Bantam, her color is splash.

I do see the bubblies in the other one...
Is it possible they aren't carriers of anything? Or no? Really would not want them to have something.

I'll have to get Terramycin or Original Neosporin as I don't have either.

Generally you want to only treat birds that have symptoms, so if there's a way to just treat her and any others with symptoms that would be best.

Possible you may be dealing with something else? I'm not sure what, could be an irritant - new bedding, dust, etc.?

With those symptoms though, possible it's MG or could be IB (Infectious Bronchitis). If she drastically improves with Tylosin, then likely MG but without testing, it's just a guess.

Folks that have MG within their flock will sometimes give all birds Tiamulin (Denagard, Tiagard) treatment for 3days each month as a "maintenance" to keep symptoms under control. That's something to look into, but personally, I think I'd only treat birds that became symptomatic. With a monthly treatment you are potentially masking symptoms and I'd want to know which birds repeatedly became symptomatic myself, then I'd decide whether or not to keep those.
Just my thoughts on that.

Your OEGB is just lovely. I really like her. I've thought about some bantams and oh my, now I'll have to look again

I really don't have a way to just treat her... I would have to completely separate her in a dog crate, in the house. So do I just need to treat all the bantams? And since no one else has symptoms now leave them alone? I know there are illnesses ducks can't get from chickens, but I'm not sure if MG is one of them?

I sure hope so! They haven't had new bedding, but I do stir around their bedding every night before bed to fluff it up... I have them out in the garden while I stir it. They go back in usually less than an hour after.

That's unfortunate to hear! I was getting worried with my other hen, but since she got better I thought everything was fine.
MG seems to be the better thing for them to have? How bad is it that my flock may have it?

Thank you! She's my favorite! I recommend bantams, they are really cute and funny birds.

It’s also worth noting that she was a runt, so she may be more prone to getting issues?
I forgot to mention a few weeks ago she was acting a bit lethargic, she was slow and would sometimes get in the position to lay an egg. So I gave her calcium and Nutri-Drench, and the next day she was better and laid an egg.

Maybe it’s a coincidence, but I heard two of my chickens sneeze? I’ll start paying attention and see if they do it more.
