Okay I got 4 1 year old ducks from a lady the other day and now my drake has started wheezing a little he has really puffy cheeks but I was told that was normal now I'm worried between that and his wheezing that he is sick and it might be a sinus infection. I have looked and looked and can't find a vet closer than an hour away he's a khaki campbell I was told can yall tell me what you think

Do they have a bucket to keep their nares and eyes cleaned out ? if so put some Apple Cider Vinegar in the water 1-2 tab per gallon let them have this to wash their faces in. ACV can kill certain bacteria and is an all round tonic, make sure his nares are clean [can you see straight through them} if you don't notice any change in a day or so then according to my med chart I got from twin City poulty they rec Tylan injectable or powder to use for sinusitis. 1-2tsp per gal for 5 days .also hows his appetite. over all feathering everything look good other than his cheek being puffy?

Yes they have a bucket. Everything else looks good bright eyes no discharge from his eyes or nares they are clear he's eating fine and hanging with his girls just wheezing I tried to post a pic but I'm new so it won't let me. Are their cheeks supposed to be puffy

I don't think puffy. wish you could post a pic. wheezing doesn't sound good. but doesn't necessarily mean anything serious lets hope not. I would still try the ACV and see how he is doing after a day of head washing and drinking it. Then post back how he is doing. What is their bedding?

They have pine shavings for their bedding. The best I can describe it is that his cheeks look like a chipmunk my kids named him Alvin for that reason. I showed him to the chicken lady at the feed store and she said he looked good but now that he's wheezing I'm concerned I'm a new duck and chicken mama and don't know what to think. I will try the ACV and see what that does

Give the ACV a day and if the wheezing doesn't improve or gets worse then I'd go with an antibiotic let us know how he is doing.

Okay will do thank you so much
Just to get an idea I found this pic doesn't look like he has puffy cheeks at all.

My boy doesn't look like that his head is more brown than green and his bill is olive colored I was able to post a pic in the new member intro if you are able to enlarge it you can kind of see his cheeks. It's just got me worried I know how painful a sinus infection is and I just hate the thoughts of him hurting
