Hi all

So last night someone phoned me because 3 bantams needed a home. I went to go and fetch them and this morning im trying to figure out what breed(or closest to what breed) they might be. Im thinking maybe Dutch bantams?

Or maybe they are so mixed breed that they are just mixed.

Thread title updated accordingly.

At this point in time I think it is only save to say they are chickens.
They are indeed chickens, and bantams. Definitely not leghorns though.
They're cute.
The fact that they each have different patterns makes me think they're mixed, thought the Silver Birchen-patterned girl behind the stump may be a purebred bird.

The rooster is red mottled, but it doesn't look pure - more like it's got another color mixed in.
Little black girl with the silver neck is Silver Birchen. The brown hen looks Gold Partridge.
These are colorations, not breeds. They still are likely some form of mixes.
*Edited to add - I see that the Gold Partidge-looking gal has yellow legs, which solidifies the fact that she is definitely not a Dutch bantam or an Old English Game. Both those breeds are white-skinned.
