I will admit that I used to have a problem, well I still do a little bit. I only use my fetilized eggs in cakes, cookies and meatloaf, etc. I can't just fry one up and dip my toast in it. Maybe one day I will get over it, since I have 3 roosters and love hatching chicks. I do have plans on having just a laying flock at some point that are not allowed near my roosters just so that I can continue to dip my toast in the yolk.

My brother is really sensitive to "gross things" as kids we would (I would) get into trouble for making him puke by doing the least little thing. he! he! Everyone is different that way. I just can't eat an undercooked egg

For sure!!! I used to work with a guy who would go to mcdonalds and request a breakfast sandwich with runny egg whites. He would have ALL of us just sick. To each their own. Just so I don't have to eat it that way!! Crispy is better!!

Ewww I can't even imagine doing that :sick

Isn't it in thailand where people eat the pekin duck chicks right out of the egg. The chicks are incubated until near hatch and then they are boiled and eaten, feathers claws and all...It's called balut...Looks gross to me...I mean it is the whole duckling in there....Weird.

I love runny yolks but runny whites is too much like snot for my tastes...Gross...even thinking about it...When I'm making my eggs for breakfast if I mess one up and eat a bite of runny white I feel like I should scrub my tongue and I have to throw the whole plate away for fear that more in there will be runny as well. blech blech blech...

I bought 22 chicks, thinking they will be all girls, only for the eggs. Well, so far, we have one rooster for sure. My chicks are now about 7 weeks old.

I don't plan to keep roo separate from the girls. Will this make a diffrence in the taste of the eggs? If I accidently leave the eggs for more than a day, is it to late to pick them up? . . . .Just wondering

A week and a half ago I bought some fertile quail eggs to hatch but stopped by my mothers to visit first. I accidently dented one egg and decided to cook and eat it rather then chunk a good egg and my mom gave me this horrified look and said " but its FERTILIZED." .. me " Yes mom, it is." She shuddered so I pointed out that all of her local farm egg were probly also fertile. And she responded with " but that's different." HOW MOM? *facepalm*

Some people can be silly.

Weird is a mild understatement!! I could not eat that or even watch it be eaten. That is pretty gross. To Thailand folks its probably a tasty treat

Sounds like something that would be on bizarre foods with Andrew Zimmermin
