Solved Site question: Reviews and Articles

On the BYC site, at the top, in the navigation bar, are the Review and Articles tabs. There is usually a number visible on these tabs, in red.

What do these numbers means, and if it means unread - is there a way to navigate to whatever the number references?
The red number means those are new ones... New ones that you have not yet read.

Yes, the number means the number you haven't read yet (in other words, the number of new articles/reviews). Not sure if this is true on phone, but on a desktop browser, you can find the new articles/reviews at least two ways:
  • Hover over the navigation button. A little down arrow will appear (mine is partly obscured by the number). Hover over that arrow and it will give you a number of options including "New Articles" and "New Reviews".
  • Go to either the Articles or Reviews main pages. A second navigation bar appears. You can then select "New Content" and either "New Articles" or "New Reviews".
When you are done checking the new content, you can then use the same navigation bars to "Mark Read". That will reset your counters and allow the navigation bar to only flag new content again.

Yep, it means new article.

There's 2 ways to get rid of this-
1. Select "new content," then "new reviews/articles." Click on all of them and it will go away. That's what I do, because I actually enjoy reading the articles & reviews.
2. Select "mark read."
