hope others more experienced will answer but think maybe a little bit. I was told to have it so they can stand in the front and reach their backs without having to bend over. Then lower in the back so if they want they can lay down and have it reach their backs.

I got them at Tractor Supply. The have purple and light green right now.

I just got the text that my chicks are at the feed store!!!!!!! OMG I am so excited!

Raised it a little in front. Had 7 of them under it for awhile. Now only 5. They keep coming out to eat.

Howdy everyone, I'm a brand new chicken owner located in the upper peninsula of Michigan. just got me 11 chicks and can't wait to see how they fair. all in all I got:
1 light Brahma pullet
4 GL Wyandotte straight runs
3 Rhode island red pullet
2 Rhode island red straight runs
1 leghorn pullet

Awesome Pics! I have to wait until mid May for my Ducks.
