Six degrees of separation

Supposedly, we can all be linked through 6 degrees of separation. Meaning, within 6 steps you should be able to link any two people named, even if they don't seem like they may have crossed paths. You may take less than 6 steps, but not more. This could be difficult and you will probably need to be creative....are you up to it?

Example:

Bob Dylan to Hugh Hefner

1. Bob Dylan's first wife, Sara, was a Playboy bunny
2. As a Playboy bunny, Sara was under Hugh's employ, therefore linking Bob Dylan to Hugh Hefner

Get it? You may name your two people after making a link.

Ok, I'll get the ball rolling.

1. Brittany Spears and Madonna shared a MUCH talked about "lip lock" on live TV.

2. Maddona and her husband, Guy Ritchie, sparked outrage when they attended a kabbalah party dressed as a nun and the pope. See the picture here.

Alright, that may be a long shot connection, and doesn't place the actual pope in there, but nevertheless - I'd say it's a connection.

I wanted to add that it is sometimes helpful to "google" the two names together. You never know, the two names may come up together in an article or something!

OK, this may be pretty weak, but here goes:

Penelope Cruz and Tom Cruise had a romantic relationship for a couple of years after/during? his divorce from Nicole Kidman. But Cruz/Cruise broke up and he went on to marry Katie Holmes.

Katie Holmes has been named as one of the most influential celebrities in the world on OK! magazine’s list of most influential celebrities. She was followed on the list by 19 other celebrities and including couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Tom Cruise called Angelina Jolie while she was still in Namibia to congratulate her on the birth of Shiloh Nouvel, and asked Jolie to pick up an “award” for her charity work from the Celebrity Scientology Center in Hollywood.

Did I do that right?

Ok Mudhen, check this out.

1. Senator John Glenn served as ranking minority member on a special Senate investigative committee chaired by Tennessee senator and actor Fred Dalton Thompson.

2. Fred Dalton Thompson appeared in the movie "Days of Thunder" with Tom Cruise (mentioned again...coincidence, I think not!).

3. Tom Cruise was in the movie "Eyes Wide Shut," directed by Stanley Kubrick, in which he played the role of Dr. William "Bill" Harford.

4. Stanley Kubrick originally wanted Steve Martin to play the role of Bill Harford, but he turned it down.
