Six to seven+ tons of sand - warning

It is a lot of sand, LOL.

We had to have 20 cubic yards brought in for our sand mound and I had NO idea how much sand was in a cubic yard. I remember thinking that we would look like a desert when they finaly got done trucking it all in.

They left about 1/2 cubic yard unused. You should see our kid's sand box, lol. It's about 20 feet by 10 feet, and about 18 inches deep. It surrounds their playgym.

Good luck- sand is a bear to move.

p.s. Is that really you in that pic? Wow. Mr. Muscles, LOL.

LMAO.

Well, I think every man has a bit of that defect. My husband was built incredibly fine when we met, you know, big muscles, 6 pack abs... now he's got "farm" muscles as he calls them and the ab area less of a 6 pack and more of a half-keg.

LOL.

Mind? What mind? I lost mine halfway into building the coop. Or maybe I was totally out of it when I decided to start; ...that sounds more likely.

Oh Joe, I sooo know where you are comeing from with the sand. 2 years ago, our highway crew was digging out the shoulders of the road near us. My son....who I wanted to choke...told them we would take ALL they can deliver.....well....15 truckloads later....we had 150 + TONS of dirt/gravel....spotting the property. This was 2 years ago...and there are STILL 3 piles...or 30 + tons needing to be moved. We have moved it ALL by shovel..wheel barrow. And, believe it or not....we need more!!
