At least you can see some light at the end of the tunnel now. I am praying for Eve. I am also going to look for the preventative. Keep us posted.

Hi Helen......well, Eve is walking around more and more every day. I can tell she does not feel well. Her face is still darker than Adams...and she is still droopy. But....she is eating..drinking..and walking around ALMOST like normal. I THINK I pulled her through it.

The guy I talked to at Perdue..said she would never be good for breeding because of the liver damage. Strictly a pet. Thats ok....as long as she is alive, and not suffering....live on Eve...live on!!
Thanks for asking.

Deb, Im so happy for you both, I just hope she will get over this quickly, Well done You are the best Mum, you deserve the best in life after what you have done for her, keep well
Hugs

Hi Deb
Finally got a chance to catch up on the board postings and saw this. I hope Eve continues to improve!! Poor baby! Did the guy from Purdue say to treat Adam also?? Anyway, I am thinking of you and Eve...

Angie

PS. Finally tried the banty's with the big chickens. One of the black babies got all of her back feathers plucked out!

Guess that isn't going to work! So for now we have them seperated again. Dave will have to make them their own run I guess.

Yes, I have to treat Adam as well. He is not showing any signs of illness....color looks great, poo looks normal. Eve is still haveing loose stools....but getting thicker every day.
I am only doing what everyone on here is doing....keeping our babies healthy and happy. If I thought for one minute she was in pain, or that I could not help her, I would have put her down. She has been a fighter..so I am fighting for and with her. Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I think my Eve is going to make it. Now to find a way to strengthen her liver function. Off to do research!!

Mommahento5 : I am so sorry your little ones didnt "fit in" with the bigger ones. In my mixed pen right now, I have Marans,Buff Orps,Langshans,Pheonix,Ameracaunas(sp), cornishx, and one little white Banty Cochin Frizzle. She thinks she is a BIG bird...and lets them all know it when its feeding time, or treat time!

First, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone on here, for all the help and encouragement. I wanted to post a pic of Eve. She is not completely "healed" however...she looks 99% better than she did a week ago. She is up and eating and drinking..and walking around. THANKS EVERYONE....here is who YOU all helped save!!!
