SIze of comb and wattles...

Well, thanks everyone for your input. He is definitely not a laid back guy like so many people say their BO roos tend to be. He is good to his ladies and is a very dutiful roo as far as keeping them all safe and fed but he is getting rather mean.
I got these guys from McMurray hatchery last spring. The hen, Queenie is a great layer! She has only missed a few days since she started at about 20 weeks and she is a sweetheart too.

I think I will have to get some eggs from some of you guys to pop under the next hen that goes broody. I would love to have some good ones....
We were rather surprised when we slaughtered our roos in the late summer at how lean and rangy they were. From what we had read up about BO's they should have been a lot more meaty than they were. They had pretty good legs but not much else.

Anyone have a nice pic of a good BO roo to share. I would love to compare the two?! Want to learn much as I can.... very interesting too.
