Darn, I forget the ratio, but YOU WILL get frizzled birds out of a frizzled bird. And because it's a Silkie, you may get Frizzled Silkie Feathering and Frizzled Regular Feathering. <-- I know I read (and saw pics) on some other thread on BYC about Sizzles, hmmmm...

Since silkie feathering is recessive,on my first cross of blue splash silkie male over blue splash frazzle cochin female I will not see any silkie feathering. But according to what I heard since she is a frazzle,I may see a higher number of frizzled chicks. You want see any silkie feathering until you breed f1 back to a silkie or breed f1 to f1.
I have some birds that I will be using for my sizzle project that I will try to get pictures of tomorrow and post if I can figure out how to do it.

Frizzle is NOT a lethal gene. A bird with two copies has overly curledx feathers that tend to be brittle and thus break easily. This is NOT something that either directly or indirectly causes death.
