I know this post was a long time ago, but shes completely healed and even the feathers are back. I no longer have the rooster that did this and I now only have a rooster who had his spurs removed

Just curious, are they permanently removed or will they come back later? I read the other day putting duct tape over spurs can be a quick fix until you trim or remove them. My cockerel doesn't have spurs yet but I'm looking for future options.

They are not permanently removed, we just filed down the sharp tip, but they haven't really been resharpened, so I dont know if they will come back sharp

I should mention, if you file down the tip, dont go to far down because there is a blood vessel, if you cut it I put flour on it to stop the bleeding but they also make a stop bleed spray and powder
