We live in rural in OR. Skunk will dig under the fence. I remember this day the smell was bad for months. I could not wet the clay dirt because it made the smell worse. It was in the coop and all chickens and Roosters come running out at 4 am. in the dark. All the outside lights on the coop shined enough to see the end of the run. Hubby got it but the smell, yuck. In our area we cannot relocate squirrels. Probably lots more than that. Certain types of Foxes can be eliminated here. Our sheriff here called us to tell us what can and cannot be eliminated.
Another egg thief is digger squirrels. I've caught them in the laying boxes. I have seen one that carried an egg in it's mouth. Tried to squeeze through our fence with egg in mouth. It did not get the egg though the fence.
