Mountainherd

OLD herd that has been long looking for members! Please join!

Lead stallion:
George the black Pinto Saddlebred stallion leads Mountainherd. His coat is pure ashen, with assymetrical white patches all over his body. He is in near-perfect health despite being the ripe age of fifteen years old. His herd knows that his days of leading the herd should be numbered for his own good, but he has a hard time admitting it. He is, however, still quite respected among the other stallions (with the exception of Andrew, of course), and very much trusted among his herd. He is very shrewd and aloof at all times, but has a very warm heart once well acquainted with you. He lost his previous mate to disease, but after establishing his herd in a safe, uncontaminated territory, fell in love with the younger Brandy and has sired a single foal thus far.

Lead Mare:
Burgundy the Bay Egyptian Arabian is the gorgeous lead mare of Mountainherd. She's a pure ink black, with a pelt that does not fade or bleach during even the sunniest of summer days. She is nuch younger than her mate, George, at about ten years old. Charming and sharp-witted, with a touch of haughtiness. She thinks very highly of Mountainherd and is very wary of outsiders. She is the proud mother of Roy.

Stallions:

Andrew- Andrew is a snooty, arrogant stallion that usually spends most of his day making snide comments to other herd members, and dismissing anyone with opinions that differ from his own. He constantly has his ears pinned back in a 'silent protest' of sorts, to let the world know that he's not happy. He seems dissatisfied with the herd as a whole and secretly desires to succeed George as lead stallion, but merely being a small Buckskin Welsh pony, knows that he may never get his wish.

Nero- A Black Silver dapple Gypsy Vanner Stallion who is solid ebony with a starkly contrasted mane and tail of silky alabaster, and white socks on each hoof. His forelock is long and black, draping to the sides in a neat fashion. He is stunningly handsome and has the best of both breeds; the strong, slender build of the Friesian with long hindlegs set far behind him like a Saddlebred. He always appears to be in a neutral mood of pensiveness or sometimes even melancholy, with tendencies toward pessimism. He is not one to get terribly excited, nor outraged at anything, and is overall fairly easygoing.

Ali- Ali is Blue Roan Egyptian Arabian stallion with a well-built but slender conformation, an arched neck, dramatically concaved head, and large, expressive black eyes. With a black coat densely grizzled in silver, his coat takes on a steel blue hue from afar. His mane and tail are both black as pitch with smooth hair, and a short forelock that appears to be combed to the sides like bangs. Ali is the sentimental type that mostly keeps to himself and just minds his own business, always in a state of being placent, and he's not really much for conversation but not necessarily shy either.

Dots- Dots the Leopard Gypsy Vanner is a loveable, huggable gentle giant that is always open to listening to you and is just an all-around great guy to hang out with. He is white with extensive black Leopard spots, and heavy black feathering on his hooves. His striped hair is thick, kinky and unruly, shrowding most of his face, leaving only his muzzle, which is often plastered with a warm smile.

Roy- Roy is every mare's dream; stunningly handsome with a caring and responsible character. Though most would rashly assume he is snobbish due to his lineage, Roy is constantly trying to prove himself different. He serves as any lowlier stallion would in protecting his herd, and treats them with all due respect. Roy is a tri-colored National Show Horse; an even mixture of Saddlebred and Arabian blood. He has the best of both breeds showing through: A naturally prideful stature, hindlegs set far behind him, and a flagged tail.

Mares:

Mitzi- Mitzi is a seal brown Hackney horse with a cheerful, bouncy, and enthusiastic personality. She's fun to be around and is good at brightening the mood. She has a pelt that is mostly a dark chocolate color, darkened points, with chestnut on her muzzle, and around her eyes.

Grace- Grace is a

Daisy- Shy, bashful, and quite timid for her size, Daisy the Dun Bashkir Curly horse is often seen grazing solitarily. She has white socks with sparse feathering on all four of her smooth, peach-colored hooves. Her pelt is a sandy yellow with darkened points, a short, black mane and tail.

Sassy- Brash, assertive, and extroverted, Sassy the Miniature Paint horse lives up to her name. Most of Sassy's friends are boys because of her 'rough-and-tumble' nature, but she is friendly and good-natured once you get to know her. She is Sorrel, with assymetrical patches of white on her body, with an ivory mane and tail. Her irrisistable, foal-like face with large, densely lashed blue eyes makes her hard to take seriously upon first meeting her, but she will gladly set you straight if you are struggling with that.

Back at Eclipseherd...

A lone stallion walked out of seemingly nowhere, tendrils of pure darkness ebbing and releasing their grasp of him before dissipating into black dust and shimmering under the moonlight as it intermingled with the breeze, swirling away until out of sight. A curved scimitar blade protruded from his forehead, it's smooth silver surface fiercely glinting against the night sky.

Yellow, almost predatory eyes stared through the very souls of his passerbys through a veil of thick, ebony hair, his expression darkened to a stoic state, his face shrouded by a mask of shadows. A mysterious aire surrounded him, following him as he took a single step forward toward the herd.

Aglaia cantered out of the woods, her sparkling silver coat glittering in the moonlight. She laughed happily, her beautiful mane falling out of her face and revealing her golden eyes. She stoppped abruptly at the sight of the new horse, and froze completely.

He flicked his ears, taking in the sights and sounds. A vague grin lingered on the corner of his mouth for but a brief second and he chuckled silently under his breath, before it all melted back into the same, straight, expressionless countenance. He began a casual trot toward the herd, his sharply cloven hooves of brushed nickel texturing hitting the ground with a clink.

He, colored with hues of grays and blacks, stood out like a sore thumb among the meadow of cheery orange poppies and brightly colored unicorns.

His eyes shifted from one mare to another for a moment, "Hades," he answered, coolly and steadily. Lifting his head higher to clear his face of his forelock, his yellow eyes locked on both of the Unicorns with a chilling intensity. "And yourselves?"
