Oengus galloped back with Phoebe to where his mother once stood, the two halting after figuring out the stallion had vanished with Kaitlyn. "Mommy?" he whimpered, tears welling up in his frosty blue eyes before he began to cry uncontrollably. "MOMMY!" The little colt tucked his snout into Phoebe's shoulder and flat out sobbed.

"There, there," the young mare said soothingly in the foal's ear, pelting him with loving nuzzles.

They moved towards the trees she was hiding in, so Sprite stepped backwards, onto a branch which cracked loudly. Sprite Froze in place, hoping the stallion didn't see her.
