Feeling water spray onto her coat, Gemma laughed and joined Chance, aiming a splash in what she hoped was his general direction.

With a giggle Gemma crouched low in the stream, most of the water missing her by inches. With a mighty flick of her tail, she sent a stream of water flying to the left of Chance, only the fringe hitting him at all.

Chance shrieked then dipped his muzzle in and sprayed a stream of water out at her.

On the way out of the creek, Gemma slipped slightly on one of the stones, falling backwards into the stream and landing on her tail. For a moment she sat in silence, then started laughing again and darted after Chance, more careful this time to watch her footing.

Chance rushed to help, but then stopped when he saw her get up and ran off.
