Flip cleared his throat. "Twilight fell in love with that stallion. Honestly, being a stallion, I can't relate. But he was dashing and handsome, and easy to fall for.
"At the beginning I didn't trust him a bit. But as their relationship grew and they became mates, I wondered if he was sincere. When Twilight became pregnant, however, my worries were magnified.
"Then Apollo was born, and Black seemed to love his new colt. He acted as a father should toward his mate and child, protecting them. Or, so it seemed."

Flip frowned. "Apollo... are you sure you want to hear this?"

Esther looked up at Apollo, her exspression serious. "Yes," Apollo said. "I would like to hear."
