"Yang" he whispered

Before it was killed - snapping a spine kills instantly, so basically before he stepped on it.

She groaned and squinted her eyes open. "What're you starin' at me for?" she muttered in a slurred voice, her sass still in place though she was close to death.

He knelt by her side "uyang" he whispered again.

She pulled her mane from the foal's mouth, thankfully only loosing a few hairs. "Come with me," the mare said soothingly.

She got up on spindly legs.

Nyx nuzzled her again and walked back towards EclipseHerd. "What's your name?" she asked quietly.

She managed to raise her head a few inches off the ground and looked around at the wolves strewn across the ground. "Dang monsters," she muttered weakly, snorting in disgust. Eyeing the blood that was streaked across both of them, the mare struggled to stand. "There's a stream..nearby. You need...to get that stuff washed off," she hissed between her teeth, her face showing the pain that was coursing through her body.

He pressed his cheek against her forehead. "you have a fever" he siad "You need to come too, can you walk?" he asekd
