I couldn't resist snapping these photos of my youngest son and his girls Sasha the Siberian and Kiki the cat.

The first photo was taken right before bedtime last night. The second photo was taken 30 minutes after they woke up this morning.

That corner is Kiki's spot. She has her own pillow and everything. And Sasha is the only dog Kiki isn't scared of, go figure, lol. I also find it kind of funny that both of his pets are black and white, think he likes that color pattern much? Lol.

There are colors and patterns I like better than others, but I think the dogs personality is the most important. A beautiful dog with a bad attitude is trouble, a ugly dog with a good attitude is a good dog.

Luckily, both Kiki and Sasha are pacifists, so it works out well for him.

My older son claims a dark calico cat named Midnight and he is trying his hardest to steal, Rascal, my Belgian Malinois from me.

If you like Balto, look up Togo. Togo was Leonhard Seppala's lead dog, and Togo lead the longest, hardest leg of the serum run over ice. After the serum run Togo was too crippled to mush again, but most of today's Siberian Huskies can trace their linage back to Seppala' breeding, and some to Togo himself. Awesome dog Togo, he truely was born to lead a sled team.

Nope, 2 different dogs. Balto was the dog that delivered the serum, Togo took the longest and most dangerous part of the drive, past the serum to Balto and never mushed again due to lameness from the run. Togo ran 340 miles, during his part of the serum run. Also Balto was neutered, Togo was not.
