Go to a flea market and buy a bunch of tennis balls. They are cheap there, I think I have brought over 100 because my dogs tear them apart eventually, lol. Just load a bucket and throw them for her. When you run out, go pick them up, try and aim for the same general area so you don't have far to walk. Another way would be to throw a ball, after she catches, get her attention, show her the new ball, and see if she will bring the one she has back. If she does, reward her with treats or pets and repeat. I taught Dawn to retrieve a little. She stops before Rascal will, but she retrieves. My trainer's jaw about hit the floor when he saw a Siberian playing fetch, lol.

If your not there to keep her entertained she needs either another high energy running dog companion, or to be crated with something interesting. I have found that a Kong filled with peanut butter and frozen overnight is a great way to keep dogs occupied for hours trying to get the peanut butter out. It helps some dogs with crate fears, even some dogs who have separation anxiety. It is also a great way to keep teething pups from chewing everything in sight.

I have to go buy some more cat food tomorrow so i will pick up some more balls and another Kong toy. she love to catch things. That sounds about right. Siberians love full contact wrestling matches. Even tag turns into tackle tag with them. Most other dogs don't like that

Lol, down here pure bred Siberians are rare. I get asked if my gorgeous dogs are wolves all the time. And when people see my pack play, they think they are fighting because of the body slams and growling. Mixing Siberians with other breeds of dogs usually doesn't end well. I am lucky that my Belgian sees the Siberians as his charges to herd and watch over, lol.

Looking at her as a dog lover and pet owner she is lovely.

But looking at her as a breeder, I would recommend getting her spayed. She is unsound in conformation and should not be bred. Her front and her rear are straight. Siberians have angled shoulders for endurance and shock absorbtion. Straight rears dont have the power and propulsion needed, and lead to arthritis, which could be the hip pains you mentioned earlier. And any dog with bad hips should not be bred anyway. Also that tail is so snapped to her back that all her pups will have it as well.. She has an insuffient stop. And her chest is not as deep as it should be. These are major faults in Siberians.

She's manly just pet. She's my 4-h dog for now and we might get 1 litter from her. But it depends on where my brother moves to, when he moves and how well she does with her hip/elbow testing.

She will only produce puppies as who are as unsound as she is. Plus she is having hip pains already, which tells you that she won't pass the hip test. Why waste the money knowing she will fail?

Cuz we asked the vet what he thinks and he said her hips are better than we thought. He also recommended to get the testing any way. So it's not "wasting" plus nala is training in weights right now so I need to know her hips are set. She's pulling 25lbs in a 5lb cart. At a walk so were getting there.

30lb is basically all the weight sled dogs will pull. This is one of the things PETA fails to realize. they assume the dogs have to pull 100 pounds each but if you do the math, Driver+ sled/gear= divided by # of dogs, they don't pull that much. In the Iditarod, the average sled driver weight is 600lb (this is what I was told, you might need to check me on this) so if you do the math, 600 / 16= 37.5, which means each dog is only pulling about 40lbs at the start of the race.
