I've got three young ladies that are now 4 months old, a barred rock, an orphington, and a bantam Amerucana. At dusk they all go into their coop and settle in for the night, with the orphington and barred rock on the roost and the bantam on top of the orphington. That's how they are when I open them up in the morning as well. Is this a common sleeping arrangement? I can see obvious advantages to this arrangement in the winter for keeping warm, but they did it in the hot weather too. I do think its very cute.
