My hens seem to prefer sleeping on the top of my feeder (flat surface top at the same level as the roost) where as the roosters seem to prefer the roost. Is it bad that they sleep on top of a flat surface? Can it cause them to get flat feet and lose the ability to perch on a roost? Also theres not much room and they push each other off.

I don't really know for sure, but some of mine do that too and they all seem fine. They've been doing this for a while.
