Sleeping pills

You'll need to catch it on the roost at night, probably an hour after sunset. For this you'll need a headlamp. You can get it at the sporting goods section of Walmart. You might get by with a regular flashlight propped such that you can see where you're stepping, make sure you grab the right bird etc.

You approach the coop making your usual clucking noises that you do during the day and grab the bird by holding both wings down.

From there, if you're not comfortable with any of the euthanasia procedures, like the broomstick method or beheading, just put her in a crate until morning, then off to the vet for euthanasia. Have the crate set up ahead of time with a small container of water and some food and bedding to keep her comfortable for overnight. I use a 1 lb cottage cheese container for water, with a hole cut in the lid to allow her head into, so it doesn't spill and get the bedding wet.
