Sleepy and dead chickens

Hi All

Just a little update to let you know we appear to have 3 survivors! Unfortunately due to my lack of experience I had tried to feed the second one egg yolk and yogurt and I feel this only aided to the little ones death

I since read more and found that you must not give them protein as the parasite feeds on this, and if necessary give no food at all! My weakest one I thought was going to go 3 days ago, and even contemplated putting her out of her misery as the deaths of the first two were awful - but she is up this morning for the first time eating and drinking on her own! It has took 3 days of syringing water with Coxoid mixed, 5ml every 1-2 hours, and I stayed away from giving her any food for fear that I may be doing more harm than good - and this morning she's making up for lost time! After originally believing that we would lose all 5, and all of them at one point looking like they were going to go, I am over the moon that 3 have made it! Thanks for all your help, your quick diagnosis on a Sunday, on our remote island helped save these babies! Thank you all! X

Could anyone tell me when it would be ok to reintroduce them back to their flock? They've been away from them for 1 week now. Thanks in advance!
