Thanks! That's a lot of great info. I'm looking into all of the different feeds I can get my hands on in my area. I think I'll end up having two different feeds free choice. One with what I have now 16% protein and lower calcium and I found a feed mill about an hour from here that makes 90% local organic feed. I think it said it was 20% or 22% protein that has fish meal and alfalfa (the other doesn't, it's soy). I'll look into my feed store's game bird feeds too. I also have the oyster shell free choice, feed BOSS, kitchen scraps, and they free range when I'm home, which is usually at least 6 hours (except for days like today - pouring down rain and 20mph wind).
