I have a Millie Fleur OEGB pullet that I noticed was sitting a lot. At first I thought she was practicing nesting, as she is really close to point of lay. But the second day, I picked her up and saw she had slightly swollen outer toes (both feet) with a little discoloration and what looks like peeling skin on the inside of the outer toes. It must be itchy to Millie because she cannot stop picking at it. I put nu-stock on her feet after ruling out bumblefoot and mites, but she kept picking at her feet and I was worried she'd eat all the nu-stock right off so I put her feet in little plastic baggies with a bit of dry paper towel and closed them securely but not tightly with twist ties. She of course didn't like that either and wouldn't stop trying to tear the plastic so I put her in a dark place and went to work. Here are some pics of what I saw and did: I am thinking about putting coconut oil mixed with a couple of drops of oregano oil on her feet in case it's an infection, and maybe some raw honey for fast healing. I can't figure out what it is or what may be causing it. It looks almost like her feet are bruised, but I can't think of any time she could've gotten them caught in anything or crushed under! The irritation she is experiencing is also puzzling me. Anyone got any ideas?
