I have to try to put a babies tendon back in today. I really don't want to loose this little one. I have had a baby with a slipped tendon before and when I tried to put it in I couldn't tell when I got it in right and things didn't end so well. :( So how will I know when I get the tendon in????? Will I hear a pop or will the toes straighten out. I see the posts on how to fix it but, nothing that says how to know when you have got it right. Please help me...... I don't want to tape his poor little leg up and not actually have the tendon in place.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

You should be able to feel the tendon, fell it slide into the groove, and then I would tape the joint to limit movement and hold the tendon in place. Feel the small tendon in your wrist, it will give you a rough idea what you are trying to feel for.

Thanks everyone for you help. The little one passed today. I don't think a slipped tendon was its only problem. Every time I would give it water it seemed to have trouble swallowing. I am betting that the parent stock had vitamin deficiencies which can cause, birth defects. They are eggs that I ordered. Anyway thanks again for all the help.
