This is a two week old lt brahma/ameracauna that we hatched out in an incubator. Today my daughter noticed something wrong with its leg.
Any suggestions on what to do?
Have you figured anything out? We have a chick whose legs are both turned out and we are not sure what to do. We have him seperate from the others and he is growing much slower than the others. We keep his food and water very close, but he can't walk at all. I don't know if this is a slipped tendon, and if it is fixable. Any thoughts?
I wish I did. As you can see, no one posted a response. About two days after the post, I put the chick down. I didnt see any reason for prolonging the pain.
Oh I'm sorry. I think that's where we are too. Was really hoping that things might change. But his quality of life is so poor, and he's probably 1/3 the size of the others. Well, thanks for your response. Take care!
