Sliver Laced Wyandotte... both female?

I just got these two from the farm store, One is smaller and has no comb just flat... is that just because she is smaller?, the other has a little comb... they are suppose to be female. They are I think 2 weeks old.

It's pretty hard to tell at such a young age. It could just be an early bloomer with a big comb, but we don't know for sure. Maybe check back in at 4-5 weeks.

The last one has a straight comb and not a rose comb. It is iether not a Wyandotte OR it is a Wyandotte with a straight comb. SOME breeders (especially for the hatcheries) are known to keep straight combs in their stock because it is said that breeding all rose combs will breed out their fertility.

I have gotten straight combed Wyandotte at the feed store before. And I see it ALL the time here on BYC!

I first got Wandotte for the rose comb. But the straight comb actually was prettiest of the two.

And their lacing was slightly different also. One was much blacker than the other. Appearing as though on was gold laced black and the other was black laced gold. Very nice to have a variety of looks.
