Slow Motion Pullet- Sick?

Get some Corid then, and treat for possible coccidiosis. The NutriDrench can be given initailly, but then stop it while you treat with Corid. Corid dosage is 2 tsp (10 ml) of the liquid per gallon of water for 5-7 days. Vitamins should be stopped while on
Corid, then can be resumed. Corid is a cattle medicine and is sold in liquid or powder. The liquid can also be given orally 2-3 drops undiluted twice a day as a boost in a ddition to the water.

If the poop isn't runny or bloody, then it may not be coccidiosis. However, better safe than sorry. It will not hurt to give Corid. And you said she wouldn't eat mealworms- is this normal that she refuses treats? I think some chickens are just picky. One of my Rhodes will not eat mealworms either, she never cared for the scrambled egg I use to give; she's just an odd one. :idunno But she does like grasshoppers. :tongue My sweet runt is the one who comes running when I reach for the mealworm bag! :wee

If you try giving scrambled egg do not put any salt in it. For seasoning- try an herb like Eggsessive has suggested. I believe oregano is supposed to be very good to help boost immune systems.

At 8 weeks old coccidiosis is the most common reason for being sluggish or lethargic and lacking energy. Corid is safe for all chickens even if coccidiosis is not the problem, but I would start some right away, and make sure that she is drinking well. It can even be put on some chick crumbles to make a wet mash. Many times we can only guess at symptoms, but it is better to be safe.

If I get corid in liquid version you said I can give it to her orally in a dropper? 2-3 drops? A day for how long?

The Corid Eggcessive showed is what I got. ;) It can be found in Tractor Supply along with those vitamins I showed you. But I'm not sure if that can be mixed together. Eggcessive will have a better idea on how to administer. He/she is smart. ;) Wish I were. :(

Okay so I got corrid it going to mix some up tonight for them, I’m going to treat the whole flock just in case. Can I still give them apple cider vinegar water as well? Or just have them on the corrid water? Thank you
