Slow Night Here In Quailville

The Gambels are flighty like bob whites and the chukars are very stout birds to catch and hang on to. When left alone their very calm and move pretty slow like a turtle. I've gotten 1 egg from the chukars and none from the gambels. I read that the chukars will lay about 40 eggs a year.

Do you know what age you can sex gambels?

AS SOON AS THEY DO THEIR LATE JUVI/ EARLY ADULT MOLT YOU SHOULD START SEEING THE DIFFERENCES AND BE ABLE TO SEX THEM... DONT HAVE GAMBLES BUT BOBS AND VALLEYS DO THIS ANYWHERE FROM 12 TO 20 OR SO WKS OF AGE DEPENDING ON THE BIRDS THEMSELVES AND THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE

I am waiting for my quail to hatch. The ones the snake in my incubator missed:p . It ate three of them and a chick, plus it was trying to swallow another chick, but I managed to save that one. I need to make another brooder to use just for the quail. I had better get busy soon.
