LOL, tell me about it! My grandparents have a place in Palmetto and my mom is looking to buy one too. My sis has a condo in Kissimmee. LOL! I soooo wish I could stash some fun eggs in my bag to bring home, but alas!

I was thinking about hitting up some stores for cool things you can't get here...the less expensive still air hovabators are a great price in the states! I want to pick up another incubator that's easy to use because I have so many friends who are now interested in keeping their own quail now that they've seen my setup and been around the birds. I'm going to rent out an incubator and include a dozen (or two, depending) fertile eggs in the cost.

Any stores you'd recommend?

I PUT MY LIGHTS UP TONIGHT TOO--- THE XMAS LIGHTS DO GREAT! THE CORTURNIX BREEDER PENS ARE 1 WIRE CAGE THATS 12 FT LONG X 2 FT DEEP X 2 FT HIGH--- SUBDIVIDED INTO 6 "HONEY MOON SUITES" EACH HONEYMOON SUITE HAS A QUARTET OF COTURNIX. THE STANDARD WHITE XMAS LIGHT STRING IS 2 BUCKS AT DOLLAR GENERAL WHEN THEY HAVE 'EM AND IS 26FT LONG-- I STARTED ON 1 CORNER BY ATTACHING THE MIDDLE OF THE STRING AND RUN IT ACROSS TO THE OTHER CORNER--- DOUBLE LIGHTS--- WORKS PERFECT.

I have my waterier & feeder set up so I don't have to open mine also. I have been wanting to take a picture to post but haven't done it yet.

Kullas So Long A It Adds Up To 14+ Hrs Of Continuous Light... Actually Upwards Of 16-18 Works Really Well..

I Need To Get A Timer And Just Set It From 1700 Hrs Until About 0100- 0130 Ish. And Just Leave It Alone. I Still Want To Do The Under Cabinet Flourescents In The Quail Condo--- Should Be Cheaper Than Incandescent Light And Its Covered By The Roof So I Should Be Able To Get By With It... I Am Actually Thinking About Stringing Xmas Lights Across All My Pens For Feeding Lights As I Will Not Get Home From Work Before Dark On The Really Short Days...

The Xmas Lights I Used Are The "mini" Lights But They Do Just Fine! Especially Being Doubled... When I Look Out The Back Window I Can See The Quail Bouncing Around Like They're In A Disco...

speeking of quail running around i have one pen with 3 hens and 1 roo and the roo is somewhat bigger than the hens and he runs around and around in a circle all the time kinda looks funny

I do like the lights for feeding idea with the christmas lights
