We live in central texas and our hens have stopped laying, could it be the 100 degree heat we have had?

It has been in the mid 90's here and my girls have slowed up considerably lately. Mine did molt awhile back but picked up on their egg production but now it has fallen off again and I haven't seen any feathers so I am assuming it's the heat. They are sure panting.

well let me tell ya something...If your chickens are free ranging...they are laying somewhere else. I found a nest with 10 eggs in it yesterday-now I know where to look! hope thats the case with your birds:-)
