Slowly fading away

I think she is pale. I've been trying to give her things with iron, but she is only interested in eating fruit right now.

This is an email from my vet today.

Hi Nancy, I received a fax from UNH today-- it was lymphoma, most
likely from Marek's disease. There is nothing to do at this point but
watch the other chickens. It is passed by inhalation of debris from
affected feathers, if the other chickens were exposed there is nothing
you can do. Cross your fingers, the more time goes by without
symptoms the better, the most common symptom is limb weakness. Give me

I have one other bird which I suspect may be ill. I will watch her closely. If she shows signs of trouble, I will have to put her down so she won't suffer like the first bird. The rest seem ok, so, as long as they are doing well, I will keep them and keep a closed flock.

Thanks so much. The only other I worry about is Marilyn. She came from the same place and they were buddies. I'll be keeping a close watch on things.

Everyone is ok and doing well. Still getting eggs from the Marans. Marilyn stopped laying a while back.
