Slugs, snails, ants? Will they eat these?

Slugbell relies on poison bait as its primary means of disposing of these pests. It may not go on the ground, but the slug will after feeding. So the poison ends up in the slug and the slug is in your yard. BAD idea for those of us who want our chickens to remain alive (not to mention I don't want any indirect poison in my eggs).

Yeah I had to explain to my girl friend about "spraying" for bugs around the house and the chickens.

I haven't seen my chickens go after slugs, snails, or ants but they do go over to a log at the edge of the woods and go crazy eating ant eggs under the rotting bark.

I've seen them get toads, worms, leaches, bugs of all kinds and even a snake.
