Slugs !!

We had only 4 days without rain in the month of June and my garden is overrun with disgusting SLUGS. The only effective non-poisonous remedy I've found is the beer trap. Slugs love beer, crawl in and drown. I can catch 20-30/day. Yuk! Without thinking, I drained all the beer out of the trap and threw the slugs to my chickens. They seem to like them, but then I wondered if beer-marinated slugs would be bad for them. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't think so. You might have to start a chicken AA for your flock!!

They do love them -- but I have read on here recently of their choking to death from trying to eat too many at once. I guess all that slime got them. Be careful.
