This breed confusing me. Her crown turned red at two weeks old. Really hasn't changed in size but now is getting wattles. She is approximately almost seven weeks. The very strange thing is she is the first chicken that sleeps on her side. I freaked out the first time when she was new and gave vitamin water, but she still does it as she got older, no problem walking or sitting, she just prefers to sleep on her side. I actually thought she was dead. I will try to get a picture. Anyone else have this with their chickens?Anyway I hope she is a pullet, very mellow. I have heard you look at their wing for something on their wings but can't remember what between female and males and the breed is known to turn red early.
