My bantam Lemon Splash rooster has successfully produced a fertile egg with my bantam SL Wyandotte. Any ideas what I’ll be looking at, in terms of the chick? Feather footed, but genetically, which coloring might be more dominant? It was so cool to see it moving around when we candled tonight!

The time I crossed a silver laced bird I got Columbian offspring. Whatever it is, it should be cute.

Well, it arrived two days early, at 9pm last night. I moved her (come on power of positive thinking!) to the brooder with four five day old GL Polish this afternoon. They’ve settled down and are getting along fine. She’s fluffy gray with white on her chest and yellow, feathered legs...not her feet. I can’t wait to see what she grows up to look like. She’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. We’ve named her Dave, even if she turns out to be a girl. ❤

For future reference, are the pullet and roo at 10 weeks old. They are the most friendly babies ever!
