SLW?

I have a 10-12wk old SLW with the greatest personality! Not that I care terribly about what her markings look like, is this what a SLW should look like for her age? When I look at the pics of adults, she doesn't really match. I have a GLW and I remember her feathers coming in and looking like the adults from a young age. Just curious. Like I said, i love her either way

There should typically be more lacing - not a real problem. On the other hand, I think that 'she' is in reality a cockerel.

Your "she" is definately a he! Here is what a hen looks like for comparative. One on the left she is 20 weeks.

Many Silver Laced Wyandottes, especially those from hatcheries/feed stores will not exhibit the ideal lacing all over the body. Hatchery birds aren't bred to be shown and exhibit the correct traits, as hatcheries tend to focus more on quantity rather than quality. But, that doesn't mean that hatchery birds aren't pretty! Your bird will likely still turn into a handsome rooster, albeit with not as much lacing as he should have.

Agree the difference you're seeing is mostly the difference between male and female. Your bird is male, sorry.
