Small chicken in the cold

Yes, one of my hens was gone quite a while (months). We have raccoons, skunks, coyotes, opossums, stray dogs, bobcats, hawks, owls, foxes, the list continues.

If Pebbles has done this before, I am sure that she is fine. My hen (Elf) survived through freezing temps and even snow. Here is her story:

Praying that she returns safe and sound :hugs

Unfortunately no.. :hitI feel so bad!
It’s all right. You did everything you could. You just couldn’t catch her and you tried you best. That’s what’s important, not that you failed. The Bible says not a sparrow dips in the sky without God knowing. I’m positive He know how important little Pebbles is to you. He’s caring for her, no matter where she is-whether he’s making sure she’s safe in the woods or next to Him in heaven. He loves her and you and I’m sure wherever she is she’s safe and happy. God cares for her and you. :hugs

Aww!! I do believe that made my eyes water! Thank you for being so sweet! I tried getting her comfy with me harder than I did with all the others. Maybe that's what's making me so sad..

You never know, as an above poster said, she could come back when you don’t expect she could, in a few months. :hugs I’m sure wherever she is she’s happy. Good night!

@Newfarmer36 were you able to catch all the other chickens?
The hens. Red still won't let me touch him but he walks in the coop by himself so I'll leave him be. A hawk tore some feathers out of one of my hens yesterday so they're staying put up for a few days. Hopefully, this weekend, I'll be able to move the coop again(I know I know. I'm about to confuse my chickens again) and build a bigger run and cover it. I thought I had it on a flat spot but it's rained quite a bit over the passed few days and the whole entrance is soaked. And apparently, there's holes in the stuff I covered it with bc water is leaking in all over.
I have a big dog kennel so when I'm able to move the coop, they're going in there until it's done and then I'll let them back in and keep them locked up for a few days until they know where to go.
