I would like to know which chicken breeds are hooded? Also could a chick have a hood instead of a crest if one of its parents was crested? I recently bought these 2 chicks with crest. Any guess of their breed?

I've never heard of a hooded chicken.

Tassel usually means a smaller crest. But it’s all the same thing, a crest.

Many breeds have a crest. Polish, Pyncheons, watermaels, and silkies to name a few

Ok, yes..> I thought it might be a translation issue. :) Yes, that's a crested chicken...

UK Araucana are crested, along with legbars. Polish are the obvious ones... Hmmm

Thanks but I was particularly asking for small crest breeds like the chicks in the posted photos.

    Then you’re looking for Pyncheons.

Yes, it was a translation issue. Don't some chicken breeds though have small crests only?
